wind power markets. The EHS Specialist will support North America centric EHS programs. They will ensure that employees have materials, equipment, personal protective equipment, resources, and/or materials necessary to meet EHS needs are provided / available

to enhance productivity and safe work practices. They will ensure that all supervisory personnel and employees are informed of safe working procedures and practices so that they can fulfill their responsibilities. They will manage required compliance activities,

including the implementation of government and GE-required EHS directives. Applicants must have professional experience performing the duties of this EHS Specialist job posting or a 2 or 4 year Environmental Health and Safety degree. These positions are for

work in the US and require candidates that are US citizen or legal residents with a current US Green Card. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Some of the physical requirements of this position are traveling / field service job that

requires you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time, the ability to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds, perform physical work related activities, and wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE). Employees must be prepared to work

in different shifts, as required, to safely complete the assignment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: o Ensure that manpower, equipment, personal protective equipment, resources, and/or materials necessary to meet EHS needs are provided / available to

enhance productivity and safe work practices. o Ensure that all supervisory personnel and employees are informed of safe working procedures and practices so that they can fulfill their responsibilities. o Manage required compliance activities, including the

implementation of government and GE-required EHS directives. o Develop and communicate EHS goals as directed and as is necessary. o Implement GEES EHS procedures. o Review any corrective actions and ensure implementation. o Investigate, participate in, or

cause to have investigated accidents, incidents, or near miss events as is necessary or required. This includes completion of any necessary paperwork (e.g. Accident Investigation or Near Miss forms, Gensuite Measurements submissions, etc.). o Conduct appropriate

inspections and audits and ensure corrective actions are taken and documented. o Complete, document, and submit all required EHS reports and recordkeeping information. o Communicate major projects, plans, specifications and equipment purchases to EHS HQ and

assist with EHS reviews (more guidance can be found in: New/Modified Facilities, EHS-14). Also communicate any other major issues or EHS items to HQ for review, awareness, and assistance. o Communicate, coordinate, or administer EHS Training as needed, including

new employee orientation. o Ensure medical preparedness, assistance, and supplies are readily available for all employees and that treatment records are properly maintained. o Assist in Safety Risk Assessment implementation as is necessary or required. o Ensure

implementation of chemical management process per procedure outlined in Health & Safety Element 16 – Chemical Management. o Annually review and update, as necessary, all site-specific information included in o Perform other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

AND ABILITIES: o Strong organizational and research skills o Strong customer service and interpersonal skills o Good oral and written communication skills o Ability to prepare accurate reports containing findings and recommendations o Ability to perform a

wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time sensitive deadlines o Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) o Experience in the Nuclear Industry

with EHS a big plus EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One to three years of work experience and training that which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
