Enjoy working with a top notch team? As a Material Production Control Supervisor you will coordinate the daily activities of ViaSat’s Production Control Planners/Material Coordinators. Your organizational skills will come into play as you plan, organize and control the material coordination to support the Carlsbad production facility. Utilizing your expertise, you will administer procedures, make budgetary recommendations regarding direct labor, and develop schedules and staffing requirements. You will have the opportunity to hire, develop and evaluate personnel to execute the efficient operation of the department. Using your soft skills, you will provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. In this role you get to make a difference by recommending changes to unit policies.
Requirements

* 6+ years’ experience in production or manufacturing.

* 3+ year’s leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

* Experience in a low-medium volume, high-mix production environment.

* Technically skilled and knowledgeable in the use of Oracle or similar ERP system.

* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

* US government position. US citizenship required.

* Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferences

* Experience with Lean manufacturing principles

* APICS certification
