Job Description :
The position of Supply Chain Analyst serves as a key role within the Hot Topic Purchasing Department. The analyst will be responsible for gathering data and other variable information that make up the supply chain and will be responsible for creating KPI’s and other matrices that will help in decision making, better sourcing strategies and reduction of company expenses. An enthusiastic self starter with a strong drive to improve existing processes and deliver improvements throughout the supply chain. The analyst must possess strong communication skills with all levels of management and all departments that influence the supply chain. Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate and long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills. This position will also be required to do a moderate amount of sourcing and supplier negotiations. This position will report to the Purchasing Manager.
* Creation of reporting, metrics and KPI’s surrounding the company supply chain with the focus of improving the supply chain through efficiency and expense reduction.
* Develop and maintain supplier performance measures and exception reporting mechanisms; complete vendor scorecards to highlight vendor performance.
* Daily, weekly, monthly and annual review of KPI’s with key members of management reporting on changes within the supply chain.
* Daily, weekly, monthly and annual review of KPI’s with suppliers to gather data and understand changes within the supply chain.
* Maintain strong business relationships with all suppliers, scheduling meetings and reviews as prudent and necessary.
* Maintain strong business relationships with all Hot Topic departments, scheduling meetings and reviews as prudent and necessary.
* Assist Purchasing Manager in driving changes to the supply chain.
* Drive productivity improvements to meet business objectives.
* Conduct a moderate amount of supplier negotiations as deemed necessary by the Purchasing Manager.
* Plan, analyze and execute procurement of retail supply chain non-merchandise products, goods and services. Such as, bags, gift cards, etc.
* Ensure negotiated items are produced, taxed, inventoried and shipped as required. Report on status as deemed necessary by the Purchasing Manager.
* Proactively provide order status updates to requestors.
* Assist in creating company supply chain budget, monitor and report on changes as prudent and necessary.
* Assist in the submission of all invoices to accounts payable and ensure payments are made according to negotiated terms.
* Ensure contract quotas for rebates and incentives are being captured and report on as prudent and necessary.
* Follow all company processes, including but not limited to; Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI and other relevant company processes.
* Complete projects and assignments as requested and assigned.
