Robert Half is currently working with an educational institution to bring on a controller to the team. This role will handle the majority of the accounting functions within the department. They will prepare financial statements, prepare for annual audits, prepare the annual budgets, and assist with cash management to name a few of the duties. Requirements: - Always hold self and others accountable for results - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field - Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges - Budget forecasting experience required - Deep understanding of cash management - Financial statement preparation experience - Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds - High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Vow to meet business deadlines - CPA or MBA preferred - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years as a Controller preferred - Curate and enforce high standards for quality deliverables - Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired - Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes - Great attention to detail - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
