Raytheon F-15 Sustainment Logistics Manager in El Segundo, California
The Whole Life Engineering (WLE) Center is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user’s, protecting our Warfighters. This position is for an F-15 Sustainment Logistics Manager who will lead our hardware through all Depot repair activities, coordinating all Logistics and Asset Management processes, operating from the El Segundo area. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to ensure compliant execution and continuous improvement of logistics and property processes and systems across multiple contracts and teams. This includes supporting all programs, and IPT’s to ensure Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT) metrics are met. This person will ensure that all logistics requirements, to include warehouse operations, receiving, stores, inventory control, inspection, testing and repair, property management, packaging, shipping, transportation, export/import and freight management, are being supported. The individual in this position will be required to represent all teams in meetings providing hardware status, manage repair (WIP) Age, and program reviews which may include preparing and presenting ideas and strategies. The responsible individual will develop and deploy functional strategies to drive process efficiency and accuracy throughout the Logistics process while addressing continuous improvement as well as recommend logistics and asset management solutions when required. These solutions and strategies must be compliant to Government regulations and in accordance with Raytheon and contractual policies and procedures. The Logistics manager will also oversee the GFM/Property Administrators who will be responsible for ensuring that customer property is managed, controlled and maintained in accordance with government regulations, contractual requirements and company policies and recognized standards. The position requires close interface with Forest Operations, RFCM Operations, Production Control, Engineering, Packaging and Shipping, and Government Stores. Additionally, this position will require monitoring, preparing daily hardware status reports and reporting to management all issues, potential resolutions, risks and opportunities. Facilitating and supporting the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), which includes failure data collection/analysis, failure analysis for root cause and corrective action, and participation in the Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings to discuss details of failures and failure trending with both internal and external customers. Required Skills: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Sustainment/Depot programs Engineering, Manufacturing Production, Production Control, or Operations support Ability to continuous monitor the repair process’s, with the drive to improve cycle times throughout the overall repair cycle Experience with MRP, VM, SAP PRISM, APEX, BW Warehouse, IMRO, UPS Property System, Kinaxis, Common PDM Experience in gathering, analyzing and presenting data from a variety of sources Experience in a cross functional team environment Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint. Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance US Citizenship Desired Skills: Experience in technical document and report generation Experience and successful execution preparing Proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOE) for logistics and asset management functions in support of program pursuits Proactive and effective in addressing hardware issues with the program office’s and support teams Working knowledge across multiple support engineering disciplines Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and inter-personal skills to achieve technical objectives.
