Manages farm concerned with raising, harvesting and packing farm products for corporations, cooperatives, and other owners by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Analyzes market conditions to determine acreage allocations. Purchases farm machinery and equipment and supplies such as tractors, seed, fertilizer, and chemicals. Prepares various management reports. Collaborates with office personnel engaged in preparing payrolls and keeping records. Visits fields to inspect and estimate maturity dates of crops and potential crop damage due to harsh weather conditions. Confers with purchasers, and determines when and under what conditions to sell crops. Collaborates, oversees and directs supervisors of hand labor, harvest, ranch and truck crews. Other duties may be assigned.
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Hand Labor, Harvest, Ranch and Truck crews. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Over five years related experience and/or training.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Class C Driver’s License, CPR/First Aid Certified
