The School of Nursing invites applicants for the position of Lecturer with a specialty in nutrition and clinical dietetics. Candidates should have the following qualifications: 1) credentials include an M.S in Nursing or related field ; 2) clinical nutrition experience; 3) excellent skills in teaching and mentoring students; 4) competency in clinical nutrition; and 5) demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as a core value in education. National certification in some aspect of clinical nutrition is preferred. Successful candidates should have a good understanding of the academic process and the University setting along with the ability to establish excellent working relationships with other faculty and students. Responsibilities include: 1) prepare/present lectures and provide clinical instruction to prelicensure students in the nutrition component of a health promotion course in accordance with the curriculum; 2) construct, administer, grade and file appropriate student evaluations and final grades; 3) provide student counseling and mentorship as needed, in conjunction with the Director of Student Affairs 4) participate in School of Nursing program meetings, and 5) function effectively as part of teaching teams.
