Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF) is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five-county Central Valley area. SGMF's medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatricians, as well as a range of specialist physicians. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling, weight management.

Position Summary:

This position provides nursing, clinical and clerical administrative direction to the Care Center. The RN Quality Supervisor directs and coordinates all clinical and clerical activities, resources and personnel. The RN Section Supervisor leads facility team members in providing optimal patient care and efficient patient flow, taking into consideration the population specific needs for patients at all stages of life.

RN Quality Supervisor job responsibilities also include: Promotes patients' health by developing processes that support patient health; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; providing physical and psychological support for patients and families. Assures quality of care by developing, teaching and promoting adherence to standards of care; enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; and recommending adjustments.


  • Associate's degree in Nursing

  • California State Licensure as Registered Nurse upon hire

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience

  • Must have the demonstrated knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully direct the efforts of diverse health professionals to meet patient and physician needs

  • Experience with data analysis

  • 15% Travel required


  • Bachelor's in Nursing

  • Managerial experience as typically obtained in approximately 1-2 years

  • Experience with Quality Improvement and Safety Practices

  • Working knowledge of regulatory, licensing, certification and accreditation (DMS, DCD, DEA, OSHA, CLIA, IMQ or TJC)

  • Experience with data analysis
