Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care. Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her/his direction) and for the delivery of care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing. The Clinical Nurse provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes. All aspects of the Clinical Nurse’s performance supports service excellence and a healing environment. This position is 8-hr shifts. Must be able to float to both Mountain View and Los Gatos campuses.
Current California RN License. Recent step down and critical care experience required. Recent arterial line management and titration of some vasopressors experience required. Ventilator experience required. Ability to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics. Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately. Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
Per Diem Level I (PD-I) will be required to work thirty-two (32) hours (including two (2) weekend shifts) during every four (4)-week schedule, except for approved waivers: will also be required to work at least one (1) of the following holidays each Per Diem Year: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year's holiday.
