Title: Director, Perioperative Services

The Director's primary responsibility will be to provide leadership and coordination between multiple work teams for the functions and/or processes of the Perioperative Services departments which includes OR, CSOR, PASS, PACU, Pre-Op Clinic, Central Sterile and Centralized Scheduling. The Director is accountable for managing the overall operation of the departments to ensure that the optimal schedules, staffing levels and payroll outcomes are in effect and are based upon census, acuity and budget. The Director is also responsible for ensuring sound financial oversight of operations. The Director incorporates differences into the provision of care and integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families with an awareness of cost containment and time management. In addition the Director trains, evaluates and supervises staff in carrying out policies and procedures. In addition, they will also actively participate in the hospital's operational and strategic planning process.
REQUIREMENTS:
Current CA RN licensure
Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
ACLS, BLS AND CNOR
PREFERENCES:
Masters of Science in Nursing degree
