SEM Portfolio Manager
We’re looking for an SEM rockstar to join a team of energetic and passionate search marketers to join us as an SEM Portfolio Manager. This high impact position will have ownership to successfully manage and optimize a strategic SEM portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that directly contributes to Ask.com’s bottom line through revenue generation. An analytical mind, natural curiosity, and passion for data-driven marketing are a must. We have an extremely large portfolio managed through our proprietary toolsets, and we can offer the opportunity to learn and contribute in fast-paced, growing in-house team.
Monitor and report on portfolio performance daily.
Continually optimize campaigns to successfully meet ROI and run-rate goals.
Develop and implement new strategies for portfolio expansion.
Optimize performance through testing and analysis.
Investigate and understand impact from systemic and seasonal factors on profit.
Work with the SEM technical team to initiate and spec new features for the Ask SEM automated platform to enhance portfolio performance.
Build and execute keyword expansion plans
Hands-on bid optimization to meet and exceed volume and ROI targets
Collaborate cross-functionally with statistical, technical, and product teams to enhance performance and user experience
Ability to perform in-depth analyses using core marketing metrics and Excel.
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience with pay-per-click (PPC) search engine advertising across Google, Yahoo and MSN.
3-5 years of experience required, preferably in performance-based online marketing or analytics
Familiarity with SQL, SAS, or R is preferred
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting, with strong problem solving and time-management skills
Extremely analytical, detail oriented, and organized, with the ability to consistently multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, dynamic environment
Ability to performance analysis using statistics and experience in identifying trends on large data sets are a plus
