The Manager, Strategic Financial Analysis provides leadership to all aspects of the process of strategic financial analysis. These include physician and service line profiles, market analysis, program reviews and other ad-hoc analysis as directed. Must have excellent relationship building, planning, organization, personnel management and leadership skills, and the ability to offer insights into reimbursement and cost trends that facilitates the long-term planning and investments of the organization and helps shape the Hospital’s operations and strategic future. This is a full time position requiring flexibility of hours and is not eligible for overtime pay. Experience/Training: A minimum of five years experience in financial analysis.

Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field or relevant experience.

Skills: Must be highly analytical as well as naturally curious and posses a strong grasp of finance concepts such as cost accounting, reimbursement, discounted cash flow, financial statement analysis and forecasting. Must be knowledgeable in regards to cost accounting methods and their limits in a healthcare setting. Must possess an in-depth knowledge of decision support systems, spreadsheet, database and other software tools. Must have strong oral and written presentation skills and be able to make effective oral presentations and prepare concise written reports to a variety of audiences, including Boards. Must be able to communicate complex concepts in simple form for non-finance users to understand the appropriate use and limits of the information provided them. The Manager must be capable of independent thinking in terms of considering potential arenas for analysis or performance improvement and initiate projects around those areas without direction. Must be analytically curious and able to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly. Must have the ability to select, direct/manage, motivate and evaluate staff. Must work effectively in a team environment and be a supportive contributor or leader in team matters. Must conduct him or herself professionally and be capable of developing and maintaining positive, service oriented relationships with all levels of healthcare professionals, both internal and external to Huntington, as well as Board members, administration and others. Must be able to plan, coordinate and prioritize resources.
