Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Business Process Consultant in Pleasanton. This position will support the Application Access Lifecycle Management (AALM) Program, whose aim is to enable KP workforce access to and termination from KP information systems appropriately and timely. The Consultant will report to the Senior Manager, HIPAA Business Process Management - AALM.
Essential Functions:
Plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives for user access provisioning, de-provisioning and user list review.
Accountable for identifying process efficiencies leading to cost reductions, increased capacity, and improvements in quality and service delivery.
Facilitates and leads the process documentation, standardization, optimization, and design of key processes and systems.
Responsible for estimating the time and effort required to implement process improvements and quantify resource support needed from business partners for successful outcomes.
Responsible for identifying and documenting the value add for all proposed process improvements (financial results, defect reduction, improved cycle time, etc.).
Leads and provides expert technical leadership to multiple projects of moderate complexity.
Provides consulting for business partners for business case development.
Actively participates or may lead in analyzing data and developing recommendations and action plans.
Accountable for the development of project documentation for middle and senior managers and other key clients to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices.
Plans and facilitates meetings.
Makes formal presentations to various senior level audiences.
Establishes procedures regarding implementation of project outcome.
Establishes effective professional business relationships with all levels of management.
Instructs and educates on all aspects of project.
Actively seeks out various, cross-functional perspectives from stakeholders when developing business solutions.
Responsible for developing solutions to a diverse range of complex problems, which require creativity and innovation within broadly defined policies and practices.
Up to 10% travel within California
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of process improvement, management consulting, change management, or related business experience
Bachelor's degree or 4 additional equivalent experience
Demonstrated excellence in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Highly proficient in the use of Visio, Power Point and Excel
Strong skills required in process improvement, critical thinking, analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.)
Experience in managing projects related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and HIPAA
Experience in health care management or consulting in the area of health information technology or health information security and security operations
Project management experience and working knowledge of project management methodologies
Demonstrates strong capability to constructively approach vague situations and brings more clarity
CISA certification
