Position overview:

The Supply Chain Integration (SCI) Technical Specialist will be in Field Engagement, responsible for the development and oversight of SM’s Material Management Dashboard which would include various tools and programs to manage a robust inventory strategy. This role will also lead and own SM’s Inventory Baseline and Material Recirculation program to ensure continued material optimization and top tier support for T&D and their associated material needs.

The FE TSP will require advance knowledge in inventory management and supply chain processes with thorough knowledge using Statistical Analysis Tools (SAS) to extract data necessary to perform in depth analysis and to create dashboard metrics to support current strategies. Other business and analytical related duties which are still applicable to FE TSP3 include providing analytical support for day to day operations, working with internal/external stakeholders to resolve customer/client needs which can cross OU boundaries and require technical/analytical knowledge to resolve. Needs to be a change management expert that leads a team or participates as a team member during implementation of specialized technical projects or initiatives. Provides consultative services on an as-needed basis to department and division management, customers, and client organizations on specialized Technical issues.

Typical Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain oversight with the MRP/ZSTR and Material Recirculation program ensuring SCE own inventory is optimized

  • Develop and maintain oversight with the Inventory Baseline program to implement across SCE locations include various strategies and adjustments to the current environment.

  • Provide consultative service for internal and external clients, overseeing and monitoring the effectiveness of our inventory baseline program, to ensure the technical execution of work related directly to Inventory Optimization across all OU departments, customers, and client organizations

  • Acting as a change agent with the ability to influence, gain comprehensive buy in and support from all levels of operations, management and project teams, while advising on IAT processes and educating internal organizations regarding all products and services offered for managing the technical needs of inventory recirculation, material acquisition, work order demand, material lead times, material min/max adjustment and SAP MRP technical and configuration functions

  • Working closely with various OU clientele and acts as an organization advocate and is responsible for the client’s organization’s satisfaction and the provider organization’s performance

  • Develop and leverage technical tools to support the ISM model and expansion beyond the current scope. Determine best options to support anticipated work and adjust processes and tools accordingly

  • Providing support and subject matter expertise for internal team member in a lead capacity which require technical/advance analytical support.

  • Proactively seek to improve performance of end-to-end supply chain

  • Identify key and recurring issues, interfacing with all relevant parties to perform root cause analysis

  • Proactively monitor inventory levels, mix, and/or recommend solutions for at-risk materials and storm/emergent inventory

Minimum qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in supporting or leading organizational programs, project management, or function being managed

  • Two years of experience with Supply Chain Systems, statistical analysis, data base and Logistics modeling

Desired qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in business administration, supply management or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Experience developing tools and databases using excel, access, SAS, etc. and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Experience achieving results through others by establishing strategic priorities and empowering team members with the authority to accomplish objectives

  • Experience with significant results delivery and consensus building, as well as meeting and relationship management, building strong channels to accomplish new improvements

  • Experience in assessing OU business processes and determining appropriate P2P model for design and execution

  • Experience with SCE’s SAP Material Management modules such as: IM, PM & EWM modules

  • Have thorough knowledge of company and department policies, objectives, strategies, and goals; discipline or function being managed

  • Demonstrated experience identifying customer and business problems and support the creation of product requirements and plans to pursue opportunities to address identified problems

  • Verbal and written skills needed to persuade and influence internal/external business partners
