Job Summary Under the general direction of the Vaccine Management Section Chief, the Analyst is responsible for overseeing activities related to a Storage and Handling Grant received from CDC. The goal of the grant is to improve storage and handling practices in Vaccines for Children (VFC) provider offices.
Duties include overseeing an advisory workgroup and ensuring that all objectives are met for the grant. The Analyst will research vaccine monitoring devices and refrigeration units to make recommendations for VFC providers. The Analyst will be responsible for creating an implementation plan for launching the new recommendations to providers. The Analyst will also be responsible for evaluating the project and reporting results to CDC. S/he will develop a system for tracking calibration of units and adherence with storage and handling requirements for VFC Providers.
Note: This is a full time contract position until 8/31/2014.
Required Qualifications • BA/BS with a major in a related field and two years of experience in administrative analysis or operations research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven database experience, such as Access or Excel and strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and/or similar programs.
• Two years of project management experience which developed a working knowledge of the field of project management and required the preparation of written reports.
• Program planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation skills

Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in public health or public administration.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience performing in technical or administrative assignments.
