University of California, Riverside Laboratory Assistant 3 in Riverside, California
Under general supervision of the Principal Investigator and Staff Research Associate, raises insect colonies, conducts bioassays, and maintains the laboratory in good order.
Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and three years of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences and two years of laboratory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Ability to interact with students, postdocs, research staff in a laboratory setting.
Familiarity with techniques used to study insect behavior, particularly responses to odors.
A minimum of two years of experience working in a biology laboratory. Experience maintaining insect colonies.
- Bachelor's in Science or equivalent in the Biological Sciences.
