Preferred Qualifications

Documentation Tools Developers create and maintain tools that

enable our technical writers to create content and generate

output. In addition to PDF/HTML manuals, we publish content in

multimedia form and for mobile devices. We write for social media,

design animations, and even create graphic novels. Bring your

creativity and fresh ideas to our team!

You will be working with the content developers to publish these

documents, both online to a globally distributed audience and in

print content that gets sent directly to our international

customers. We publish using in-house tools, some developed by our

own team. You will be learning multiple tools and processes, as

well as tracking in progress projects and troubleshooting issues.

In addition, you will work with senior engineering staff from

cross-platform development teams to develop and enhance software

for document creation and publishing. Mainly you will be working

in Java and XSLT, as well as Javascript and CSS/XHTML, along with

some Solaris system administration.



Experience in document authoring, source control, and publication


Strong organization skills

  • Detail-oriented a must

  • Knowledge of structured XML or SGML writing tools such as


  • Experience in

Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Perl, or related languages

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Technical

Writing a plus

Knowledge of UNIX/Linux

  • Ability to evaluate potential content from a user point of view

  • Understanding of usability principles

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
