The AV Technician will support customer events where AV technologies are used; and provide technical support as needed.

  • Primary support for All Hands meetings, webcasts, and TelePresence calls. Also supports special events, including d furniture set ups, AV set ups, or other support as needed.

  • Monitor Action Requests (Work Orders) to ensure all are assigned, responded to, and completed in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators as described in the Service Level Agreement with Autodesk, with primary focus on AV related work orders.

  • Provides preventive maintenance support; completes inspections of, and maintains records for work completed with primary focus on AV related work orders.

  • Supports or resolves problems associated with all building services including: copiers, janitorial, food service, coffee services, parking, vending, access badges, office moves, inter-office transportation of equipment, as well as interior and exterior furnishings, fixtures, signage and equipment, with primary emphasis on AV related equipment and service.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Support installation of audio visual equipment such as projectors, displays, video walls, speakers, cabling, etc.

  • Assist in mocking up equipment for testing pilot projects

  • Proactively communicate project issues to employees/customers in a timely manner.

  • Great communication skills between clients and contractors on an ongoing basis.

  • Strong knowledge on DSP's, digital platforms, matrix switchers, video walls and video conferencing

  • Maintains inventory levels on AV parts and equipment

  • Partner with various teams such as Client's EIS department to deliver superb AV and conferencing solutions

Requirements:

  • Education - Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline preferred.

  • Superior customer service skills and orientation

  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations

  • Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision

  • Strong MS Office suite experience

  • Strong written, verbal and people skills

  • Strong organizational skills and collaborative style needed

  • Valid motor vehicle driver's license

  • Ability and willingness to complete physically oriented work, participate in 24/7 - on call rotation, work a flexible schedule and overtime as necessary

  • Detail oriented and capable of daily-weekly follow up on all assigned projects

  • Familiarity with electrical, network and overall construction

  • At least 3 years of audio visual management experience with complex systems

  • Solid knowledge of all low voltage hand tools and testing equipment

  • Solid knowledge on all various low voltage wire types and connectors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CTS certification plus (CTS I preferred)

  • Crestron product and programming knowledge is a plus
