Sutter Health Business Analyst CS 3 -Pharmacy Client Services in San Francisco, California
At the direction of the Client Services Manager/Leader, this position establishes and maintains a consultative partnership with a business area/ client providing operational functional knowledge supporting the development of new/improved capabilities; translating business requirements to functional requirements, and identifying, defining and developing solutions to application and system problems. This position is responsible for business requirements gathering and analysis including identifying business needs, evaluating potential enhancements, developing and documenting technical solutions to business problems. The Business Analyst works as part of a larger team supporting the service delivery lifecycle to lead the collection and documentation of Business Requirements. They work closely with the business relationship owner, subject matter experts, and the customer to capture the appropriate information to ensure a thorough documentation of requirements supporting all phases of a service lifecycle from Idea/concept through implementation and support. Possesses a considerable to extensive understanding of the business operation and functional area in order to appropriately evaluate and analyze business work flow and recommend alternative approaches in developing process improvement. The business analyst has strong analytic and collaboration skills to act as a liaison between the business and the technical teams who build the solutions.
*• Prior healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of Pharmacy workflows and technologies.
• Medicaid Pharmacy system experience preferred
• The analyst will need to be able to document business requirements and project scope.*
Bachelor's BS/BA degree Required Or equivalent education/experience
Master's MA/MS degree Preferred
Relevant work experience as typically acquired in 6 to 8 years
Healthcare experience highly desired
Deep expertise of presentations, word processing and spreadsheet applications, preferably Microsoft
In-depth working experience business analyst standard tools including but not limited to CSI, Lean methodologies, work flow tools, Microsoft Visio, Business Experience making independent decisions
Must be able to travel within Northern California up to 25% of the time. Must provide own transportation and meet CA and Sutter Health requirements to drive.
