The Credit Services Specialist should be professional, detail oriented, have excellent writing, grammar and communication skills. Position will work on a growing team to help qualify potential customers for the services the institution can provide them. Customer service is a must as the right candidate will understand how to deal with confidential information. The company is accessible by public transportation and candidates MUST be reliable and flexible with their schedule. The person for this role must be upbeat, have an approachable personality, and a track record of success working as part of a team.
Duties:

• Interact with potential clients to verify identity and/or employment information, and answer any questions borrowers may have regarding their loans.




• Perform manual underwriting of personal loans in accordance with company policies.




• Review and verify financial documents




• Maintain highest level of customer service and quality.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-4 years as a credit specialist, underwriter, or in financial services, preferably in management.




• Strong analytical and problem solving skills




• Excellent verbal and written communication skill with strong attention to detail




• Preferably 1-4 years of experience in the banking, consumer lending industry




• Experience underwriting loans and/or reviewing financial documents is a plus




• Ability to read credit bureau reports




• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and online research




• Permanent salary $45,000-$55,000 depending on experience
