          Description
          About This Job:
          Do you like to build data center infrastructure? We are looking for a hardware engineer to join the team responsible for scaling our compute power. Work with senior engineers & vendors to develop, test and qualify servers tailored to specific needs. This role is based in San Francisco, CA.
          Responsibilities:


          • Test and qualify hardware and support peripherals to ensure required specifications are met including analyzing and recording data.

          • Hands on experience de-bugging and characterizing complex sub-systems such as memory & storage.

          • Take ownership of a test environment that emulates our data centers.

          • Automate hardware testing of servers and systems using scripting.Requirements:


          • 2-3 years hardware engineering experience


          • Technical degree (BSEE, BSIE, BSME, CS) or equivalent. MS preferred.

          • Deep exposure to server, storage, power supply, and interconnects

          • Working knowledge of Linux OS & tools

          • Some experience with Perl, Python, Shell scripting preferred

          • Minimal travel involved
