Role will be responsible for coordinating review and analysis of new/proposed policies or standards with regard to impact to operational risk and document responses and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Read, analyze and research new/proposed policy/standard changes in light of risk management implications

  • Facilitate stakeholder review of new policy/standards or policy/standards changes

  • Document outcomes and responses on standardized template that includes:

o Bulleted summary of changes

o Impact analysis

o Memorialization of those parties involved in the review

o Response recommendation

  • Serve as subject matter expert on the policy/standard review/response process

  • Actively and credibly collaborate with risk leaders across Community Banking

  • Create and manage content in the applicable sections of the team SharePoint site

Locations: Phoenix AZ, Charlotte NC, San Francisco CA, Minneapolis MN, and Des Moines IA preferred but will consider other locations within the WF footprint.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Experience writing and editing internal communications, including corporate and executive level communications

  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications

  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels

  • Knowledge and understanding of corporate governance, financial reporting systems, legal entities, and role of regulatory authorities

  • Project management experience
