The Digital Channels Technology - Payment Applications Support (PAS) department is looking for highly motivated and creative individuals who will support multiple critical revenue generating online platforms. In this role you will be the Subject Matter Expert responsible for understanding and retaining knowledge on the end-to-end implementation, functionality, technologies, and external dependencies used in various platforms such as Bill Payment, Transfer Scheduling, Desktop Deposit, Direct Pay, Foreign Exchange, Online Billing, and other highly prized applications involved in moving funds for our customers. Your advanced skills and experience as a developer, mastery of various technologies, and creativity will be used extensively to assess/research impact and risk, create real-time/short-term mitigation, and determine root cause of complex events or issues affecting multiple technology layers in the stack, downstream processes, and customer transactions. You will work closely with other developers to propose enhancements, create long-term fix, and help lead business and other enterprise support partners to arrive at a consensus and implement solutions. You will engage in digital forensic activities to analyze, identify, preserve, and recover information registered in the various technology stack to support fraud prevention, risk mitigation, and account reconciliation objectives. This also includes ADHOC reporting, data analytics/modeling, and similar activities to help achieve business objectives in collaboration with business and development partners. On occasion, you will provide training, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced team members, as well as assist the PAS group improve service model, processes, and work flow. This position requires after-hours rotation assignment to receive escalation/consultation from production and customer support teams, developers, and business partners.
Basic Qualifications: 7+ years web development experience which includes the programming/ development of web applications.
Minimum Qualifications: -At least 6 years contiguous dev/coding experience in Java, J2EE, Servlets, XML, and Web Services development -At least 6 years contiguous dev/coding experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL development -At least 6 years contiguous dev/coding experience in diagnosing and/or triaging application issues deployed in Unix -At least 4 years contiguous dev/coding experience in object-oriented development, design methodologies, and design patterns -At least 4 years contiguous dev/coding experience in 2 or more of the following scripting languages: CGI, Perl, Windows Scripting, & UNIX Shell Scripts
Preferred Skills: -Demonstrated advance dev/coding experience in batch programming particularly bulk operations -Demonstrated advance dev/coding experience in one or more of the following languages: JSP, ASP, C#/VB/VBA (.Net), and VB Script -Demonstrated advance dev/coding experience using IBM MQ and/or Oracle AQ queue/messaging backbone -Demonstrated advance dev/coding experience in 2 or more of the following technologies/framework: Axis, Hibernate, Struts, MVC, Spring-WS and Spring-UI framework - Demonstrated advance development and implementation experience in Service Oriented Architecture based application/platforms - Demonstrated performance tuning OR DBA experience in one of the following RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Teradata, and DB2) -Demonstrated dev/coding experience with Financial application, E-Commerce, & ACH transaction concepts and processes -Demonstrated troubleshooting experience in researching application issues manifesting in Unix, Windows, and Linux operating system -Demonstrated dev/coding experience using 2 or more of the following IDEs/Tools: Eclipse, Intelli-J, Maven, TOAD, Introscope, Splunk, and Oracle Developer/Enterprise Manager -Demonstrated performance tuning experience in 2 or more of the following technologies: application, OS, DB, and web server -Demonstrated system administration experience in Web Logic and/or Web Sphere Application Server implementation/maintenance -Demonstrated development experience in Autosys and/or CRON scheduler, NDM and SCP file transfer utilities -Exposure in developing Oracle Application Express/HTML DB application and Splunk
