          As a Customer Marketing Engineer, you will successfully drive design wins with key customers in Consumer, Medical and Test market segments. This “mini-GM” position requires basic business understanding, ability to learn customer applications and articulate customer requirements to internal team, including senior management. You will also analyze Altera’s business and product portfolio with regards to specific customers and apply such analysis to drive successful customer engagement. In this role, you will work closely with worldwide sales teams to apply Altera value propositions, develop and promote system-level solutions for your customer base. You will own resolution of critical customer issues by escalating them to cross-functional teams and influencing resource prioritization to satisfy your customers’ issues. You will also own pricing decisions, business forecasts, ROI analysis, and managing pricing contracts for your assigned customers. The ideal candidate must be self-driven, results-oriented, and a team player who enjoys understanding customer situation and applies such understanding to enhance short and long term business.

          The successful candidate's minimum qualifications will include the following:


          • BS in Electronics/Computer Engineering or equivalent technical field

          • Prior work experience is not required

          • Strong communication and persuasive negotiation skills

          • Decisive and able to manage conflict

          • Possessing good business acumen
