A day in the life…
Account Services Specialists handle outbound and inbound collection calls. As an Account Services Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to be a strong advocate for our customers when they experience a delay in payment, providing education, support and viable payment options. We place a strong emphasis on the Nordstrom brand and as such you must be committed to service, teamwork and performance expectations. Candidates should have strong critical thinking and verbal skills to effectively communicate to our customers and demonstrate the ability to work with integrity and respect confidentiality.
You own this if you have…
A minimum of six months customer service or collection related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Customer service or first party collections experience is preferred
Ability to handle a high volume of calls with detail and accuracy while delivering an excellent customer experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, applying critical thinking skills to collect past due accounts
Display initiative, act pro-actively, and employ creativity to find solutions to complex problems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with an intermediate level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. General knowledge of First Data systems is preferred
