          Job Description:

          This position is for Western Medical Center Santa Ana.

          Case Manager is responsible for patient flow and bed assignment for patient that presents to the emergency department as well inpatient transfers to other nursing units. Assists physicians to level the appropriate level of care based on interqual criteria and patients clinical condition. Documentation of severity and intensity of service of these patients.

          Qualifications: CA RN license. Min. 5 years acute Medical/Surgical nursing experience and 2 years Case Management experience. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of Case Management components: utilization review and discharge planning. Knowledge of interqual criteria for admissions. ER experience preferred.
