The Certified Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for providing radiation dosimetry and radiation therapy patients. This service includes both manual and computerized calculations as well as preparing or supervising the preparation of special devices for delivery of radiation treatments. Reviews the patient's treatment to determine accuracy of calculated dosimetry plan. Performs weekly quality assurance checks. Assist as specified by radiation physicist in radiation therapy or radiation safety projects. This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating newborn through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Five (5) years experience as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist.
Knowledgeable in the latest developments in radiotherapy and radiation dosimetry.
Required to know the duties of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist.
Satisfactory completion of formal training in Medical Dosimetry in an JRCERT accredited program.
Must hold current Certification by the American Board of Medical Dosimetrist (AMBD) certification
