Summary of Responsibilities:Directs, coordinates, and administers the operations and activities of the department in order to effectively achieve the organization's established goals. Assesses and evaluates care/services provided, staffing levels, competence, and educational needs of all employees and effectively coordinates and controls resources. Responsibilities include demonstration of effective written and verbal communication and development and implementation of organizational and departmental policies/procedures. The individual maintains an environment for performance improvement and is responsive to organizational change and community needs.
Experience/Education/Certificates/Licenses: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred). Five years experience in an acute care facility. Two to five years experience in Case Management. Prior managerial or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of federal, state, and third party payor regulations. Knowledge in hospital routing and physician complexion. Knowledge in modern nursing theory and practice. Excellent communication and educational skills. Good working rapport with organizational and medical staff.
