  1. Compile a diagnostic evaluation and assessment of client history, strengths, academic abilities, psychosocial development, and independent living skills.

  2. Work with interdisciplinary team to develop residents Individual Treatment Plan.

  3. Attend weekly One-on- One follow-up with all assigned clients.

  4. Facilitate Groups

  5. Ensure that activities are educational, cultural and ethnically oriented to develop life skills

  6. Evaluate record and report on resident’s process in a timely, professional and thorough manner.

  7. Coordinate/implement Life Skills curriculum addressing pre-employment skills, vocational skills, and future education and career planning options; enhancing parenting skills and financial planning.

  8. Establish a collaborative system of identifying, planning, supervising and evaluating each Residents experience on-site.

  9. Act as liaison with Veteran per Deim liaison and other public and private community resources to secure permanent housing for residents upon program completion.

  10. Participate in evaluating pertinence resident’s that may be at risk of sabotaged their stay at the program.

  11. Attend staff meeting and all mandatory in-service training.

  12. In the absence of the director, report directly to Executive Social Service Director

  13. Other duties as assigned.

  1. Knowledge of Salvation Army policies and procedures.

  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  3. Strong organizational skills.

  4. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while paying critical attention to detail.

  5. Thrive in a team-oriented environment.

  6. Driving Test and clean MVR check (if applicable).

  7. If working in vicinity of children a criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.


  1. Bachelor degree in field of social work/human services. Licensed and must have Alcohol and Drug Certification.

  2. Experienced working with Parolees and homeless population, and veterans desired.

  3. Experience working effectively with clients, staff and others of diverse backgrounds and interests.

  4. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  5. Valid California’s Driver’s License

PAYRATE: $18-$20/Hr.
