The Department of Radiation Oncology in the Keck School of Medicine of USC is seeking a Project Specialist to provide physics support services for a comprehensive quality assurance program that ensures proper function of radiation measurement equipment, treatment devices, imaging systems, and associated equipment and technologies. This position impacts patient care and research activities related to radiation oncology.

Key Functions: Performs all aspects of quality assurance measurement on linear accelerators, dose measurement instrumentation, and patient imaging systems under the supervision of a certified Medical Physicist. Assists in the calibration and commissioning of dosimetry equipment.

Assists with acceptance and commissioning measurements for treatment, imaging, and planning systems. Performs direct and indirect patient specific dosimetry and quality assurance functions. Assists with radiation beam, and quality assurance measurements. Analyzes data and prepares reports.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Science

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Experience: 2 years

Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education and experience to be able to advise on project procedures and analysis techniques.
