Tax Analyst

The Tax Analyst is primarily responsible for providing meaningful analysis and insights to aid with upper management’s decision-making process.

Detailed Description

  • Handle Sales and Use tax Compliance, Property Tax Compliance

  • Assist with Value Added Tax for international operation in Mexico

  • Work cohesively with the Economic Development group to ensure we obtain the best tax incentives possible

  • Manage Research & Development tax credit process

  • Create & maintain excellent relationship with other departments within Niagara

  • Assist Indirect Tax Manager in sales tax audits & property tax appeals

  • Perform tax research on various state and federal matters

  • Draft and implement tax policies

  • Research and assist Indirect Tax Manager in International Taxes (Mexico)

Work Experience/KSA’s

  • 2-4 years – Experience in Tax Field

  • 2-4 years – Experience in Position

  • 2-4 years – Experience Supervising Employee

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills

  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Problem Solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

  • Planning/Organizing - uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks.

  • Detail oriented and accurate - minimizes mistakes, follows every step in a process and follows through with all tasks

  • Leadership - inspires and motivates others to perform well; influences actions and opinions of others; Displays passion and optimism.


  • Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • JD in with an MBA or prior Accounting/Tax Background
