Position Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The person who fills this position will be joining and leading a dynamic team with a local California client to implement and integrate a customer relationship and case management solution in a public sector agency. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the country implementing similar projects and have a mentor to gain experience on CGI’s Delivery excellence in our software development processes and methodologies.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Scrum Master assists the scrum teams by facilitating a hybrid waterfall / agile development process for each project component work stream. The Scrum Master works to proactively identify scrum team roadblocks and resolve them efficiently with the project team and with the client. Manages the scrum teams in accordance with the project management best practices to monitor and track status and feedback on development efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the implementation of IT applications, including knowledge in:

• User centered design and user story development

• Implementation of business technology solutions

• Full software development life cycle experience, using agile, iterative, and waterfall methodologies

• Scrum management principles in leading and managing scrum meetings, requirements backlogs, sprint planning, sprint management, resource management, and sprint development metrics

• Continuous build, test and deployment practices, including test driven development

• Schedule and dependency management

• Scope and change management

• Effective time and meeting management

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Minimum of 5 years managing IT projects with the following characteristics:

• Managing 10+ direct or indirect team members

• Managing client expectations, including business product owners

• Ability to build trust and communicate with client counterparts

• Detailed understanding and experience applying Scrum principles

• Ability to adapt to a hybrid waterfall / agile methodology

• Scrum master certification

• Agile/Scrum Certified

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Preferred experience with:

• Systems integration

• Data migration and conversion

• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services

• Cloud Services

• Custom software development

• Implementing highly configurable COTS solutions or platforms

*Industry experience in Government preferred
