Robert Half Accountemps Payroll Clerk in San Jose, California

If you want to work as part of a dynamic, fast-growing team, Accountemps's new Payroll Clerk/Human Resources Clerk opening might be right for you! This job will be part-time hours, varying between 20-25 hours a week, with flexible hours, and it will include supporting the Payroll/HR department in a variety of functions, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, working closely with a insurance providers, benefit administration, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively interact with both the internal team and outside customers. We currently have an opening for a Payroll Clerk with an industry leader. This position may be of interest to candidates that enjoy being challenged and are looking to advance their career. A Payroll Clerk position has become available on a short term temporary basis in the San Jose, California area.

How you will make an impact

  • Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  • Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements

  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

-Vendor relations, benefit administration, and open enrollment

  • Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  • Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals

  • Run and build custom reports
